Tokyo | China vowed to strengthen self-reliance in high technology and spur domestic demand as it braces for what its leaders called “raging storms” and deepening global uncertainty, following a key Communist Party meeting.
After the party’s four-day conclave ended in Beijing on Thursday night, China released its policy overview for the next five years, which aims to maintain manufacturing and grow the economy by further modernising its industries as well as bolstering its science and technology sectors.
