Washington | Donald Trump launched his bid on Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT) to be the next US president despite disappointing midterm election results, promising to give Americans a “voice” and “restore the fabric of the nation”.
Announcing his third tilt at the top job, the billionaire blamed the Republican Party machine for last week’s weaker than expected election results, and said that only he had the experience to win back the White House in 2024.
