Washington | Donald Trump frequently refers to an immigration chart that saved him from assassination at an open-air rally in July, but there is another data graph that could save his election campaign in the tightly contested Rust Belt states.

Trump was cocking his head towards the life-saving chart, showing levels of illegal immigration under different White House administrations, when a would-be assassin’s bullet grazed his ear at a rally in Pennsylvania.
