Forrest ‘lost and lonely’, but on track for $240m US hydrogen funding

Washington | Fortescue billionaire Andrew Forrest’s US hydrogen project is on track to receive up to $US150 million ($240 million) in subsidies after the collective it belongs to progressed to a final round of funding negotiations with the Biden administration at the weekend.

Joe Biden and US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm announced on Friday (Saturday AEDT) that seven regional clean hydrogen hubs across America would receive $US7 billion out of Congress’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding, separate from the Inflation Reduction Act.
