Washington | Michael Bloomberg would sell his eponymous media and data company if elected president, an aide announced on Wednesday (AEDT), as the New York billionaire prepares for what looks to be this week's watershed Democrat debate.
On the same day that President Donald Trump conspicuously pardoned and commuted sentences for almost a dozen convicted white-collar criminals - including 1980s "junk bond king" Michael Milken - Mr Bloomberg's campaign laid the grounds for what would an ethical, if painful, divestment of the company he co-founded four decades ago.
