East Hampton | US President Joe Biden sought on Saturday (Sunday AEST) to reassure wealthy Democratic donors that he can defeat Donald Trump as he works to stamp out a crisis of confidence in his re-election campaign following a feeble debate performance.
Mr Biden held two fundraising events as many nervous Democratic donors lamented Mr Biden’s weak showing against his Republican rival on Thursday night and wondered what, if anything, they could do to change the course of the race, according to interviews with more than a dozen Democratic fundraisers.
