Washington | US President Joe Biden sought to claw back lost political ground on the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, suggesting the mission was a success and that it could not have been done in a more orderly fashion.
Mr Biden’s political polling has slumped to its lowest level after Afghanistan was overrun by Taliban forces taking advantage of the hasty American retreat and 13 US service members were killed in a suicide attack.
