Washington | Australian commercial drone pioneer Matthew Sweeny, whose US start-up aims to make airborne goods and services delivery to households routine this year, has a message for Canberra's regulators and politicians.

Commercial drone delivery is real; it's coming fast; and the lack of innovative thinking across government means Australia stands to miss the start of a new industry that will soon be commonplace, he says.
