We’ve sent an unambiguous message to the Houthis: your attacks have to stop
Western allies endured attacks on international shipping and freedom of navigation for months without responding. Now they have taken necessary, lawful and proportionate military action as a last resort.
There’s no more important a decision a prime minister can make than to send British forces into action. I never thought I would be part of another cabinet discussing this, still less watch another prime minister weighing up such a decision.
