Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip | Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned massive Israeli airstrikes launched across the Gaza Strip that killed more than 400 Palestinians were “only the beginning”.
The strikes which shattered a ceasefire in place since January were Israel’s deadliest bombardment in a 17-month war with Hamas. Netanyahu ordered the strikes, which killed mostly women and children, after Hamas refused Israeli demands to change the truce agreement.
