London | One of Britain’s most celebrated traits is its people’s passion for their pets. This is a country that celebrates National Dog Day, and which tried to organise a special evacuation flight out of Afghanistan for its citizens’ furry friends.
So it’s little surprise that in Britain, veterinary services is a big and booming business. And circling over the thousands of neighbourhood veterinary practices are some industrial-grade financial hoovers, absorbing the small fry into bigger conglomerates.
