Geneva | The World Health Organisation has expressed concern about the rising number of new coronavirus cases in poor countries as the global tally approaches five million.
In 24 hours, the global health body recorded 106,000 news cases of infections, the most in a single day. "We still have a long way to go in this pandemic," WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a news conference on Wednesday (Thursday AEST).
