London | Britain’s embattled Labour government has suffered a fresh humiliation over immigration and a creaking prison system, with a second foreign sex offender being mistakenly released from jail in barely a fortnight.
The release of the Algerian man from Wandsworth prison on October 30 came despite the government’s promise to tighten checks before inmates were freed.
