London | Far-right rabble-rouser Nigel Farage, who is leading in polls to become the next UK prime minister, has promised a suite of pro-business policies as he tries to dispel the view he is a one-trick pony who relies on stoking community anxiety over immigration.
As Farage tries to claim the mantle of fiscal responsibility, he also predicted Britons would go to the polls in 2027 – two years earlier than required – because of “economic collapse” with markets forcing an austerity budget on the Labour government.
