London | Britain’s prime minister Rishi Sunak and his Labour rival Sir Keir Starmer have engaged in a surprisingly fierce head-to-head television clash, but were upstaged by a milkshake-spattered Nigel Farage.

As the populist publicity magnet Mr Farage travelled to the Essex seaside town of Clacton for a public rally to launch his campaign for the seat, a young woman spontaneously hurled a McDonald’s banana milkshake at him.
