London | An Italian cardinal convicted of embezzlement over the purchase of a Chelsea car showroom has dropped out of the upcoming conclave.
Angelo Becciu, 76, withdrew from the secretive Vatican meeting after reportedly being shown requests signed by the late Pope Francis saying that Becciu should not be allowed to vote.
