There was a depressing sense of familiarity about the reaction to the Manchester bombing.

Global leaders lined up to condemn the attack which claimed the lives of 22 people leaving an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night. "We struggle to comprehend the warped and twisted mind that sees a room packed with young children not as a scene to cherish, but as an opportunity for carnage," British Prime Minister Theresa May declared as hundreds of troops were deployed on the streets.
