It is an unusual destination for the Royal Australian Air Force. But in recent months RAAF cargo planes have been flying 15,000km to the other side of the world, landing at a Norwegian airfield.

Loaded into the bellies of the massive C-17 Globemaster aircraft in Norway are missiles destined to be carried by the Australian Navy’s destroyers and frigates, capable of hitting targets at land and sea almost 200km away.
