Singapore | Thailand’s Pita Limjaroenrat faces the tough task of winning over at least another 50 MPs in just over two months so that he can become prime minister, after his party’s election win that sent shockwaves through the country’s political elite.
Progressives led by Mr Pita’s Move Forward Party scored an emphatic victory in the May 14 election that saw voters deliver a humiliating defeat to ruling conservative army-linked parties.
