Change in mindset would be virus' silver lining
There is much talk of what post-COVID Japan looks like. I hope it is one that supports families, allows more flexibility for workers, protects the vulnerable and embraces change.

When I last wrote, Japan was in the middle of the state of emergency and we were all learning how to stay home and do the right thing. And that we did. People followed public health guidelines, kept their kids home from school, and stayed glued to the TV and social media for daily updates as to the number of cases.
