Tokyo | Australia and Japan have pledged to further strengthen their security co-operation following a meeting between Foreign Minister Marise Payne and her Japanese counterpart at a G7-plus gathering in the United Kingdom.
Japan’s Foreign Minister, Yoshimasa Hayashi, who gave an impromptu piano recital for Ms Payne and several G7 foreign ministers, also said Tokyo would work with Canberra on building infrastructure projects in the Indo-Pacific to counter China’s influence in the region.
