Jakarta | The Indonesian government has moved to hose down fears the Muslim-majority country is set for a new wave of terrorism, suggesting the attack on a senior minister on Thursday was a one-off event.

Security Minister Wiranto is in hospital recovering from surgery after he was stabbed by a man and a woman at an official event in Banten province, where authorities say Muslim militants have a presence. Police who arrested the couple say they could be linked to Islamic State.
