China seeks ‘concrete actions’ from Australia ahead of Bali meeting

Tokyo | China says “concrete actions” are needed to reset relations with Australia as the two countries’ foreign ministers prepare to cross paths on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, starting on Thursday.

Chinese officials this week continued to dial down the rhetoric towards Canberra, amid growing expectations Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet Australian counterpart Penny Wong at the event, one of several ministerial gatherings ahead of the G20 summit later this year.
