Jakarta/Sydney | East Asia, led by China, will emerge from the pandemic much faster than the south and south-east of the region, where many countries face a slow and painful recovery, according to the latest update from the Asian Development Bank.
In its latest regional assessment, the ADB warns that economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic would do what neither the Asian financial crisis nor the global financial crisis managed – to shrink the region's economy as a whole.
