Tokyo | Australia’s ambassador to China met with a top Chinese official in the Chinese capital last week, in the latest sign Beijing is willing to resume high-level dialogue with the Albanese government, despite renewed tension between the two sides over comments around last week’s NATO summit.
Graham Fletcher met with Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng on June 30, according to a statement posted by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday night. China said the meeting was requested by Australia.
