Overtime, bonuses help men earn more than women

Systemic barriers enabling men to work more overtime hours than women are driving significant pay gaps across the economy, and the differences are especially stark in the manufacturing, construction and mining sectors.
Men having more roles that attract generous allowances are also blowing out the pay gap, as is their likelihood to receive substantial bonuses, according to the Champions of Change Coalition.
