Some years ago, I was in a meeting to discuss an event at which the CEO would deliver the keynote speech.
A project plan was discussed, timelines agreed and responsibilities assigned. Then it was on to the next meeting, in a different room but with the same decor – beige walls, all modern artwork and swivel chairs – and, as it turned out, the same people. The discussion was about another event.
