Working women have to pay to work after childcare costs

More than 125,000 working mums across the income spectrum are worse off by increasing their working days from three to four or five days a week, new KPMG analysis reveals.
The analysis, which calculates a so-called Workforce Disincentive Rate across the income spectrum, shows that after childcare costs, the tax system penalises working mums to the point where many have to pay to work.
