The five highest-paid CEOs of ASX 200 companies took home a collective $161.4 million in the 2023 financial year on a realised pay basis, new data reveals, with ResMed’s US-based boss Mick Farrell earning $47.5 million alone.

News Corp’s US-based CEO Robert Thomson took home $41.5 million even as the media company’s Australian arm cut 20 jobs on Thursday, while Goodman Group CEO and co-founder Greg Goodman was the highest-paid locally based boss on $27.3 million.
