One of the thrills of the recent Federal Court challenge to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s decision to block the merger between Vodafone and TPG Telecom was the peek inside the TPG boardroom, run by reclusive chairman David Teoh.
During his time in the witness box, Teoh revealed the rather freewheeling style of the board. Business plans and strategies weren’t exactly written down, but rather discussed and thrashed out over a period of time.
