Meet the CEO in the race to set up a Formula One team

Three years ago Dicker Data founder and racing enthusiast David Dicker looked at buying the Williams F1 team, but missed out. Now he wants to go one better and create his own.

By the middle of next month computer magnate David Dicker should know if his quest to operate a Formula One team has been successful.

Earlier this year The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body which oversees motorsport, began an application process for teams seeking entry into Formula One, potentially raising the number of teams to 12 from 10.
