Australia’s international education sector is rebounding and showing promising signs it is on a vigorous trajectory that could see it win back its former title as the nation’s third-largest export industry.

Open borders, affordable flights, a cleared backlog in unprocessed visas and genuine enthusiasm among young people to reengage with the world have resulted in historically high applications to universities. Demand for vocational and English-language colleges is also gathering speed.
