Graduates tip the scales of power in jobs market
If the US has the “great resignation”, Australia has the great employment boom; the first time in decades that labour has the upper hand over employers.
In her 24 years working for the same global human resource consulting firm, Nicole Gorton has never seen anything like this.
“We are used to prepping candidates on how to get through the interview process and how to secure the job. In the past 12 months we are prepping companies on how to secure the candidate,” says the Sydney-based Gorton, director of recruitment agency Robert Half.
