Chinese billionaire’s assets frozen in $140m fight with ATO

The High Court has restored a worldwide freezing order over the assets of Chinese billionaire Huang Xiangmo as he continues to battle the Australian Tax Office over a $140 million tax debt.
The court said concerns over whether the order was enforceable in China and Hong Kong were irrelevant as it overturned the decision of the Full Federal Court and sided with the ATO.
