Big super bolsters US ties amid Trump trade tensions

The pool of workers retirement savings has become a systemic benefit not only to the domestic economy, but the relationship with our most important trading partner.

The adage – coined by super pioneer Garry Weaven – that industry super funds enable working people to invest like the wealthiest people in the world has never been more accurate than right now.

This week, a delegation to Washington DC and New York City by leaders of Australia’s industry super funds will go into bat for the millions of Australians whose retirement savings are invested in United States. And they do so at a pivotal moment for our two nations.
