The key problem for many family businesses is that there is nobody willing or able to take over. But the Lyones faced no such challenge – both sisters Amie and Belinda were equally qualified and eager to lead COS, the office supplies business founded by their late father in 1977.

Their bigger conundrum was having to choose which of the sisters would assume the role of chief executive.
