Some REITs will weather the slowdown

There are about 20 fewer listed Australian real estate investment trusts (A-REITs) than two years ago and about $40 billion has been wiped from the interest-rate-sensitive sector over that time.
Looking ahead, the outlook is not rosy: landlords’ borrowing costs are higher and, to lure tenants to empty office towers, rents may have to fall.
