Q: Can you kindly explain the difference between a binding death benefit nomination and having a legal person representative act as trustee for my estate in an SMSF or any superannuation estate planning? Can I have both in my SMSF or do I have to choose either one?

I understand a BDBN only lasts for three years if it is not perpetual, so on that basis how do I make it so rather than having to update it every three years?
