The tech entrepreneur who plans to give REA Group the fight of its life

If anyone knows how to shake up the fortunes of online real estate stalwart Domain, it is Andy Florance, the founder and chief executive of US giant CoStar, who has built a $US32 billion property tech empire from scratch, with plenty of controversy along the way.

The man loves a corporate fight, and last year expressed disappointment at being denied the chance to “bankrupt” Domain’s main rival, REA Group, when it pulled out of a £6.2 billion ($12.3 billion) takeover bid for UK’s Rightmove.
