Technology chief executives have warned that Australia’s economy and national security are at risk unless the country ramps up its investment in critical digital infrastructure.

Speaking at the Financial Review Infrastructure Summit in Sydney, Mani Thiru, the chief executive of DeepTech Ventures, warned Australia could not always rely on its allies to supply access to critical digital infrastructure like satellite technology.
