Australian online influencer marketing platform Tribe has kicked off plans to go public on the Australian Securities Exchange this year, closing a $5.5 million pre-IPO funding round, after experiencing strong US growth in its new subscription service.
The company, which was founded by radio and television personality Jules Lund in 2014 as a way to let brands connect with the growing army of online influencers, has evolved to become a broader online marketplace for branded content, which lets brands cut out ad agencies to buy content created by its users to run in campaigns across various channels.
