Online marketing platform Tribe reveals IPO plans after funding round

Australian online influencer marketing platform Tribe has kicked off plans to go public on the Australian Securities Exchange this year, closing a $5.5 million pre-IPO funding round, after experiencing strong US growth in its new subscription service.

The company, which was founded by radio and television personality Jules Lund in 2014 as a way to let brands connect with the growing army of online influencers, has evolved to become a broader online marketplace for branded content, which lets brands cut out ad agencies to buy content created by its users to run in campaigns across various channels.
