A raft of investors has backed a seed funding round at Atelier, a start-up from serial entrepreneur Nick Benson, as it seeks to increase the scope of its commercial work done with the ever-growing band of social media influencers.

Atelier, which designs, makes and sources products for influencers to sell to their online followers, is one of a growing number of companies around the world looking to operate behind the scenes of the growing “creator economy”.
