Montu, a Melbourne-based online platform to connect patients with doctors willing to prescribe medicinal cannabis, has raised $2 million from more than 1000 investors through equity crowdfunding platform Birchal.

The company will use the funds to boost its marketing and attract more doctors on to the platform to service patients who need CBD (cannabidiol)-related treatments for anxiety and pain. The raising is in the top five of this type in Australia.
