Elon Musk’s X reinstated 6100 banned Aussie accounts
Elon Musk’s X has cut 80 per cent of software engineers globally who were responsible for systems limiting harmful content, including antisemitic and illegal material, while reinstating 6103 banned accounts in Australia.
The figures from the social media site formerly known as Twitter were obtained by the Australian eSafety Commission, an independent government agency, and represent the first time the extent of cuts to X’s moderation staff have been confirmed.
