Australia’s two biggest software companies, Atlassian and Canva, say artificial intelligence is not to blame for recent staff departures, which have come following restructures and the introduction of stricter employee performance benchmarks.

Design software giant Canva made its global head of performance marketing and global head of social media redundant on Friday, while Nasdaq-listed workplace software firm Atlassian confirmed on Tuesday that it has axed 350 customer service jobs.
