Marc Benioff, the flamboyant multi-billionaire founder of cloud software giant Salesforce, says business must push politicians to show greater courage in climate and immigration policy, and Australia has a big opportunity to become a global hotbed for an “ecopreneur revolution,” using new tech ideas to decarbonise the planet.
Making his first visit to Australia in more than 20 years last week, Benioff sat down for a wide-ranging interview with The Australian Financial Review, in which he urged politicians to stop shying away from skilled migration law reforms, and warned founders of highly funded start-ups they would soon need to handle the drama of falling valuations in changing market conditions.
