Aussie VCs leading on gender diversity, but there's a long way to go
Australian venture capital funds are setting the benchmark for gender diversity compared to their international counterparts, but most admit they've got a long way to go.
A survey of major Australian VC funds by The Australian Financial Review found that of 323 active investments made by nine top Australian funds which responded, 85 of the companies - or 26 per cent - had female co-founders. This compared to 12 per cent of investments across all funds globally for 2010 to 2015, according to a CrunchBase study last year.
