Audio actors, unknowingly, have been training their replacements. Now they are fighting back.
When Martin Lewis discovered a Facebook advert featuring his deepfake likeness encouraging people to sign up for “an Elon Musk-backed project”, calling it “legit” and a “great investment”, he felt sick. His name and face have been in scam adverts for years, he told the Today program, but this was the first deepfake he’d seen.
Revoicer.com is an AI site offering a “bundle of voices” for an annual fee.
