It is easy to get overly theoretical when thinking about the implications of artificial intelligence and its impact on the business world and society at large, but when you talk to people immersed in the topic daily, you get a sense of equal parts excitement, optimism, frustration and fear.

So much of what seems cool, exciting and instantly useful in one context, is also alarming, creepy and potentially harmful in another.
