Icon auction in 11th hour twist, EQT to invest alongside Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs’ principal finance team, now working under the Goldman Sachs Asset Management banner, has had a late change of heart at Australian founded cancer care provider Icon Group.

Goldman Sachs, one of Icon’s three big shareholders, is in late stage talks to retain its stake in the company and be invested alongside incoming private equity backer EQT.
